Soften Up!

I found myself saying that some people who are normally very stereotypically tough and patriarchal... are actually a bit tired of their own expectations and the expectations of others on them. And they look to make themselves look vulnerable, and receive the validation and acceptance to be so. They "soften up".

But in the end, they understand it. After all, they are my friends. They are people with curiosity and willing to learn new things, same as I do.

I wish people who don't understand it could see it through my eyes.

It's beautiful to see.

People change.

But I never attempt to change anyone.

It's the natural consequence of acceptance, vulnerability and compassion.
